SAM Magazine–February 14, 2011–Leitner Technologies has purchased 100 percent of the Swedish company Lenko Snow AB, Inc. along with developing an active participation with the South Tyrolean snowmaking company Demac. The purchase of Lenko includes its Austrian, Italian, U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries including a facility in Queensbury, New York.
With this acquisition, the goal of the Leitner group is to unify snowmaking, ropeways, snow groomers, utility vehicles, urban transport systems and wind energy under one roof.
